High Quality Equipment & Service

High Quality Equipment & Service

Kilimanjaro is a serious mountain. Therefore, we use strict Kilimanjaro equipment to ensure our clients are warm, dry and comfortable. You can tell the quality of Kilimanjaro operators by the quality of the tents they use, they say. If true, you can trust Goduru Travel to provide a very high standard of service for our equipment.

Our sleeping tents and dining tents are made by Ferrino, an Italian outdoor company that has been producing time-tested aerial gear since 1890. We do not use locally made tents that tend to tip over in the wind or leak. It’s raining, like some carriers. That’s why our customers love our warm, roomy tents and cozy cushions. Our tents are new and bright, waiting for you to move in.

SLEEPING TENT

Our Ferrino Technology Outdoor Tent is guaranteed to be strong, waterproof and roomy. Ferrino is a renowned Italian outdoor gear company that has been designing tents for harsh environments from Antarctica to Mount Everest since 1890.

Their tents are designed to be lightweight and pack small, making them perfect for Kilimanjaro. Each four-person sized tent can accommodate only two guests, so there’s plenty of room for you and your gear, and there’s a separate exterior vestibule to store your shoes and poles.

We will match single clients of the same sex on group tours. Single tents are available and can be booked in advance for an additional fee.

Sleeping Pad

Our customers will have peace of mind on these locally sourced foam sleeping pads. Sleeping pads are used to insulate a person from the cold ground and keep them comfortable.

Unlike inflatable pads, our foam pads won’t deflate from the cold or risk getting punctured. In addition to being more durable than inflatable pads, they are warmer and more comfortable due to their thickness.

Each mat is 78 inches (200 cm) long so it can accommodate even the tallest of people.

TREKKING POLES RENTAL

Our trekking poles are lightweight aluminum telescopic poles of various brands. They rent in pairs.

Hiking poles are strongly recommended. Using poles helps take some of the load off your legs during the hike and transfers it to your arms. Saving energy on a multi-day expedition is huge and can be the difference between being strong and tired.

Trekking poles are best for going uphill and downhill. They reduce the effort exerted by the muscles and also reduce the wear and tear on the joints. Finally, hiking poles increase stability when hiking on uneven or wet terrain.

Sleeping Pad

Our Ferrino synthetic jackets will keep you warm and cozy on the chilly nights of Kilimanjaro. PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation is designed with millions of air pockets to trap body heat even in extreme conditions. The lack of crowds means great freedom of movement for all activities. And the waterproof treatment maintains its warming properties even in wet conditions. The jacket is durable, protects well and is comfortable.
