Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

We pick you up directly from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your Nairobi hotel, or private residence. Enjoy a scenic morning drive south across the expansive African savannah toward Amboseli National Park. Arrive at camp in time for lunch and check-in. In the late afternoon, set off on your first game drive across Amboseli's plains, renowned for vast elephant herds, giraffes, and abundant birdlife with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

Day 2: Full-Day Exploration in Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day tracking wildlife across the classic plains of Amboseli. Seek out apex predators like lions and cheetahs during early morning activity hours. Drive up to Observation Hill for sweeping panoramic views of the park's palm swamps and open plains while enjoying a picnic lunch in the wild. Return to camp at sunset for a warm dinner and relaxed evening.

Day 3: Amboseli to High-Altitude Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, check out and drive north toward the central Kenyan highlands, passing vibrant tea and coffee plantations along the way. Arrive at your lodge inside Aberdare National Park in time for lunch. Aberdare offers high-altitude game viewing; observe forest wildlife directly from the viewing decks of The Ark Lodge, overlooking a floodlit salt lick and waterhole where giant forest hogs, hyenas, elephants, and rare bongos come to drink. Nighttime wake-up alerts can be requested when elusive nocturnal species appear.

Day 4: Aberdare Highlands to Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island Walk

Depart Aberdare after breakfast and travel down into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for check-in and lunch at the resort. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat safari across Lake Naivasha with a resident birding expert to view hippos and waterbirds like pelicans and fish eagles. Continue by boat to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for a guided walking safari where you can walk alongside wild zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests.

Day 7: Full Day in the Great Masai Mara Ecosystem

If traveling between July and October, witness herds of wildebeest and zebra braving river crossings as part of the Great Migration.
